ABOUT ME
Born and raised in Southern California, I was always a within a few hours drive from the Pacific Ocean, the Sierra Nevada mountains, and the Mojave Desert. There, I developed a passion for visual art, music, and nature.
I decided to study biology and art in California State University Long Beach, where I focused my interests towards sensory biology, animal behavior, and the marine environment. I am currently a Marie Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Lund University, where I investigate the neural basis of navigation behaviors in arthropods. When I am not practicing science or art, I try to spend as much time outdoors as possible, whether it be backpacking in mountains or diving in oceans. |
